Dick Taylor Craft Chocolate was founded in 2010 by Adam Dick and Dustin Taylor, former boat builders in Eureka, Northern California, who brought their craftsman's attention to detail to chocolate making. They use just two or three organic ingredients per bar (cacao, cane sugar, and sometimes one inclusion) with no added cocoa butter, no soy lecithin, and no vanilla. That restraint lets the character of each cacao origin come through clearly.

Dick Taylor has won numerous awards and is considered one of America's finest bean-to-bar makers. Their Black Fig bar is one of the bestselling craft chocolate bars in the country. They source cacao from specific fermentaries and estates, including Kokoa Kamili in Tanzania's Kilombero Valley, and every bar reflects the unique terroir of its origin.
