Created in Modena with the must of cooked grapes and aged wine vinegar, then aged in oak barrels with aged balsamic vinegar extracted from centuries-old casks. It is named for the 3 gold medals earned at International Fairs in the 19th century . The cubic bottle features the first label, designed in the early 1900s. 3 Gold Medals, Riccardo Giusti, has an aroma and flavor of plum jam and red fruits intertwined with hints of honey and vanilla. This gourmet balsamic is a deep brown with a glossy, velvety smooth texture.
Giuseppe Giusti is the world's oldest balsamic vinegar producer, established in 1605 in Modena, Italy. For over 400 years, the Giusti family has been crafting traditional balsamic vinegar using the ancient solera method, where vinegar is aged in a succession of barrels made from different woods. Their products range from everyday cooking balsamic to ultra-premium aged vinegars that rival fine wines in complexity. This is the kind of product that defines what The Ambrosian Pantry is about: exceptional quality from producers who refuse to compromise.
Pairs with: Drizzle over Parmigiano, strawberries, grilled meats, salads, or vanilla ice cream.
