Hidden for centuries along the Amazon Rainforest's Jurua River, this extremely rare cacao is pure pleasure in bar form. Wild foraged (not farmed) cacao from the Brazilian Amazon, crafted into a 70% dark chocolate that tastes unlike any cultivated cacao you've experienced. The wild origin gives the beans an untamed, complex character that cultivated cacao simply cannot replicate.
Luisa Abram works with indigenous communities along the Jurua River to sustainably harvest wild cacao from the rainforest. This bar is a collaboration with Caputo's Market, another celebrated specialty food retailer. We carry it because it represents something genuinely rare and irreplaceable.
Tasting notes: Wild, complex Brazilian cacao with untamed rainforest character.
Pairs with: A glass of aged rum, a cup of Brazilian coffee, or a moment of wonder at what wild cacao tastes like.
Perfect for: Rare cacao collectors, rainforest advocates, and anyone who wants to taste something truly wild. Discover this and our full range of artisan chocolates at The Ambrosian Pantry, 263 Josephine St in Cherry Creek, Denver. Also available at theambrosianpantry.com.
