Rancho Gordo - King City Pink Bean
Rancho Gordo - King City Pink Bean

DESCRIPTION An heirloom bean from King City, California, with a rich history and a dreamy bean broth. It has a thin skin and a dense yet creamy interior. You would think these pink beans would be a good substitute for the small, pink Santa Maria Pinquitos, but they're not. King City Pinks are closer to Buckeye; dense but not stodgy, they have a thin skin and produce a rich bean broth. We are in love.
Rancho Gordo was founded in 2001 by Steve Sando in Napa, California, with a mission to preserve and promote heirloom bean varieties that were disappearing from American agriculture. We carry Rancho Gordo because they represent the quality and character we look for in everything at The Ambrosian Pantry.
Pairs with: Soups, stews, salads, chili, or as a hearty side dish.
Perfect for: Plant-based protein seekers, heirloom ingredient enthusiasts, and home cooks building a quality pantry. Shop this and hundreds of other artisan finds at The Ambrosian Pantry, 263 Josephine St in Cherry Creek, Denver, or online at theambrosianpantry.com.
