Floyd Cardoz Kashmiri Masala Burlap & Barrel developed a variety of blends in collaboration with Floyd Cardoz, a celebrated Indian-born American chef, and his family. Chef Floyd was beloved for the warmth and spice he infused into ingredients and the genuine care and compassion he bestowed on his staff and guests alike. In his 30-year career, he led restaurants in the United States and India, penned two cookbooks, won a national television cooking competition, and contributed his time and talent to countless charitable organizations.

Burlap & Barrel is a single-origin spice company founded in 2016 by Ethan Frisch and Ori Zohar in New York. They source directly from smallholder farmers in over 20 countries, paying 5 to 20 times the commodity rate. Their spices are so fresh and potent that they recommend new customers use half a serving at first. "You are just cooking with old spices," says co-founder Zohar. "This is how it should be."
