About Stock Boy Candy Co.

Based in
Southern California
Founded
2023
Known for
mixes of imported Swedish candy

Stock Boy Candy Co. began in October 2023, when its founders quit their jobs brewing kombucha and started importing candy into a small Southern California apartment. By February 2024 the boxes had spread to pallets in the garage, and in May 2024 they moved into their first warehouse. They import candy to their California warehouse and blend it into their own house mixes.

The founders say they travel to find sweets and build relationships with the makers, and of the hundreds of candies they try each month, only a few make the cut.

Stock Boy Candy Co. questions

What Swedish candy has Stock Boy Candy Co. blended?

Stock Boy Candy Co. has blended candy from Bubs, a Swedish maker founded in 1992, when the Lindström family mortgaged their home to buy their first candy machine. Bubs describes its pieces as sweet and sour, with a texture it calls soft but bouncy and chewy in just the right way. Stock Boy imports the candy to its California warehouse and mixes it there.

Are gummy candies vegan?

Not always. Many gummies are set with gelatin, which is made from collagen, a protein found in animal skin and bone. Some makers avoid it: Bubs, a Swedish maker whose candy Stock Boy has blended, says 100% of its range is vegan.
