About Knot & Bow
- Based in
- Los Angeles, California
- Known for
- party supplies, gift packaging and stationery
Knot & Bow makes party supplies and stationery, the things that set a birthday table and dress up a gift. The company says its goods are made in the United States whenever possible and finished and assembled in its Los Angeles studio.
Erin Ozer started the business on Etsy, and her interest in packaging, from craft paper to twine, shaped what it makes.
Knot & Bow questions
Who started Knot & Bow?
Erin Ozer, who grew up in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and worked in arts administration in New York City. She left that job to stay home with her first child and began selling on Etsy, at first jewelry, dyed baby blankets and other accessories. She then turned to gift packaging such as tags and twine, which grew into the company.
How does Knot & Bow decide what to make?
Ozer builds the range around things she and people like her find fun and useful, and her team both chooses and produces the items. When she wanted larger, better confetti circles than she could find, for example, the company made its own. Goods are made in the United States whenever possible, then finished in Los Angeles.
