Jose Gourmet is a Portuguese conservas brand launched in 2008 by Adriano Ribeiro. Based in Lisbon, they source sustainably caught fish from the Iberian Peninsula's coastal waters using traditional methods. Jose Gourmet practices fair trade, often paying suppliers in advance and never negotiating for lower prices. Designer Luis Mendonca and illustrator Gemeo Luis created the brand's distinctive artistic packaging, which turns each tin into a collectible piece of art honoring the fishermen, fisherwomen, and canneries that make conservas possible.

Jose Gourmet is one of the most recognized names in the global tinned fish renaissance. Their conservas are traditionally produced in classic Portuguese style, with every tin hand-packed. The whimsical artwork on each package pays homage to Portugal's centuries-old canning heritage while making the tins beautiful enough to display. Their range includes sardines, mackerel, tuna, octopus, codfish, and a celebrated line of pates.
