Grosche questions

What is the GROSCHE Safe Water Project?

It is GROSCHE's program that pays for biosand water filters in India, Malawi, Pakistan, the Philippines, South Sudan and Uganda. A biosand filter is a household container, usually concrete, filled with layers of sand and gravel. As water is poured through, the sand traps dirt and a living layer of microorganisms on top of the sand helps remove bacteria and other germs. GROSCHE says each product bought funds more than 50 days of safe drinking water for someone in need.

Is GROSCHE a B Corp?

Yes, since October 2015. B Corp certification is assessed against standards set by B Lab, which look at a company's social, environmental and governance impact, and the process is independently audited. A certified company has to meet those standards for social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability, so the label means an outside check has been done rather than resting on the company's own word.
